Hours, days and months of grueling studies require great discipline. When you started this walk towards wisdom and knowledge the finish line seemed far, far away. Many of you have sacrificed much in an effort to reach your goals. Whether you are graduating from High school or college; I applaud you! Your commitments enabled you to be triumphant. Learning is a process; you will always be in the process of learning and growing. A wealth of knowledge awaits each of you. As you walk in wisdom, sacrifice and discipline will become primary components to your success. As you step out into a world of unknowns...be encouraged. Trust yourselves to make wise choices. Follow your dreams however; do not make dreams your master.

Many of you are planning to continue formal education in an effort to reach higher goals. In order to succeed in any chosen profession you must develop strength in that area. Success is reached by discipline and self-control. There may be times when you will have to make yourselves do things you do not really want to do in an effort to perfect and develop your goals. The rewards you reap from determination and endurance builds character. The three most important qualities of life are faith, hope and love. These three components are very important character builders. Faith is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen. Love and support from your family and friends will encourage you to strive to reach your goals. These factors are very important to your success. Everyday will bring battles and temptations. We are facing trying economic times in our world today. It is imperative that you do not get bogged down in life's circumstances. There will be times when the demands of life in our world of unknowns become setbacks.

There will be times when goals appear out of reach, be not discouraged. You must remain focused. There will always be bumps in the road. Things might occur that can wear down your resolve. You must always remember to remain steadfast. There will be trials in your struggle to succeed but you must keep positive attitudes. Always remember that, out of every trial there is a valuable lesson. You must stay focused on making right choices.

Life lessons build character. Determination to reach your goals in spite of adversity is a prerequisite to success. Your harvest will never be greater than what you sow; when the crops you plant are good, your benefits are great. When you harvest a life of good character you produce crops of integrity. You are our future and we know without a doubt that you will succeed as will generations after you. There are a multitude of possibilities awaiting you. You must keep hope alive! Congratulations and best wishes for great success to each and every one of you!

HI Jena, what a wonderfully inspirational letter to graduates. My son is a senior and has two days left of school. Finals are Monday & Tuesday.

I am going to put a copy of this letter in his card. I appreciate that you incorporated faith, hope, and love as being vital components of a successful life. Blessings to you, Teresa
