Were you ever caught without an umbrella in a storm? The first instinct when this happens is to run for cover. When warned of an approaching storm, one is rarely prepared for its arrival. Storms are very erratic. They will arrive quickly and furiously and diminish suddenly. This type of storm is called atmospheric. Storms that rage atmospherically are synonymous to storms that rage in our lives.

When storms rage in our lives, we are rarely prepared for them. The business of living can bring burdens and strife. Storms of life can strike anyone, anywhere and at anytime without advanced warning.

We must not be overcome by life's storms. We must learn to cope with storms as they cross our paths. We do not have to be caught without an umbrella in the storms of life.

Storms come in many ways, through sickness, tragedy, failure, death, and disappointments in our lives. Storms of life are real. We can fold our wings and run for cover or we can emulate the eagle and soar above the storms.

We must have strength and courage necessary to face life's storms.

Once one realizes that one cannot escape the storms of life, one can use these storms to activate one's faith. We must focus on our belief in God and his wise counsel.

We all want to acquire happiness, good health, and freedom of spirit. To acquire these priceless gifts we must strive to acquire deeper levels of peace.

When strong winds blow in our lives, we must not run from them lest we fall through the cracks of life. We must learn to face our storms. We must catch the strong winds as they blow and soar on the wings of prayer. This will give us strength and courage to face life's storms.

We can learn a lot from the eagle. An eagle knows when a storm is approaching before it happens. The strong winds will hit the eagle's wings and he is lifted above the storm. The eagle receives strength from the storm. The higher the eagle soar, the higher it flies. We can soar like an eagle.

When a storm approaches bird's cover up their wings and fly to shelter but the eagle faces the storm head on. When we run from the storms of life in an effort to escape them; we assume the mentality of the bird. When we face the storm, we soar higher like the eagle.

Ask yourself this question: Am I an eagle or a bird when facing opposition?

There is no escape from the storms of life but we must not let strong winds keep us from striving for sunny days. Yes, dark clouds will rise and strong winds will blow in our lives but we must stay on a steady course and soar above the storms.

Storms of life can be forceful. They have the power to totally deplete strength from one's body. We must remain steadfast and strive with intensity and determination to soar above the storm. I admonish you to hold on. Do not give up. Remain steadfast and unmovable. Reject defeat. Reject failure. Soar above the clouds of life. Dare to rise above the storms. Dare to determine your destiny and unlock your highest potential.

Strive to experience deeper levels of peace. You can accomplish this by adding humor to your life. Dare to smile in face of adversity. Stay focused on your goals. Stay alert. Stay informed as you soar like an eagle.

How can you soar above the storm if you hang out with birds? Associate yourself with people of like mind. As you soar above the clouds, you must remember that soaring like an eagle attracts hunters.

When you dare to soar, you will meet opposition. Opposition will cause storm clouds to rise in your life. When you dare to soar above the clouds of life, you will be judged unreasonably. You will be considered illogical. As you soar above the clouds of life with a smile on your faces, you will be viewed as being self-centered and arrogant. You may even be viewed as untouchable. This type of storm is called the storm of opposition. In face of an oppositional storm, you must not waver. You must remain steadfast. Do not let this storm deter you from reaching your goal. Continue on your journey soaring like an eagle. Soar higher and higher. When you feel that you have done all that you can do to resist the storm, keep soaring.

Spread your wings like the eagle and take hits from the storm. You will gain strength as the winds elevate you higher and higher. Continue to soar above the storm with a fierce determination to reach your destiny.

It matters not how severe the storm, remain focused on the light at the end of the storm. Stay focused on your dreams and aspirations. Keep your dreams alive.

Organize your strategy for a successful life above the storm. Drop defeat like hot coals from your hands. Determine your own self-worth. Set goals and turn them into realities.

Overcome negativity and cast off procrastination.

Attend self-improvement seminars. Become an effective listener. Do not allow yourself to fall between the cracks of life. Do not emulate the bird by running for cover when strong winds blow.

We have been given the great gift of freedom to make choices. We have to live and work among birds. However, we must not take on the mentality of the bird and run for cover when storm clouds rise. We can opt to soar like an eagle. Take advantage of your right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. One must remember that freedom is a leap of faith. Dare to fly on your own wings. Take power and control of your life. Freedom can fly into your life like a bird whose wounded leg is caught in a snare or you can encourage freedom to soar into your life like an eagle soaring on the wings of destiny.

When a storm comes the eagle free' itself from the world below and allows the wind to carry it to new discoveries. The air currents and updrafts catch beneath the wings and fly higher and higher soaring above the storm.

We can weather the storms of life when we attain the mentality of the eagle. We can soar above the storm to a fulfilling and richly rewarding life. No, we cannot escape the storm, but we can use the storm to soar higher. Dare to soar like an eagle.

There are no weak links in life only weak thinkers. Dare to think like an eagle and soar above the storms of life.

You can weather the storm.
